Born Jimmie Edmondson but better known to everyone today as SDRAWKCAB ROSSEFORP, which incidentally is Professor Backwards spelled backwards, was raised in Atlanta, Georgia, until he was twelve years old when he moved to Jacksonville, Florida, and there he led an uneventful life except for the presence of one JUDY CANOVA in his grade school class. At this tender age Jimmie was struck by a nightmare in which everything happened backwards. In this dream Jimmy says, "I saw a man back a car down the street and roll into a gas station. There the attendant took five gallons of gas out of his tank and gave the driver a dollar. Then the driver said, 'Thank-you,' and very nonchalantly backed on down the street. When I awoke I was able to spell and even sing backwards just as the people I had dreamed about, though I had never been able to before, and to top all of this, for the first time I was left-handed as well as right-handed."
